2. Stratford Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Stratford, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (age limits differ by vehicle type; additional fees may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a full, valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period set out in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photo identification and any proof of address or other documentation required by Stratford at the time of rental.

3. Reservation and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Stratford office. A booking deposit may be required to hold your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally payable when the vehicle is collected. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Stratford Vehicle Collection and Return

  • At collection you must inspect the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage to Stratford immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by you and a Stratford representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage discovered after return will be assessed and charged to you in accordance with Stratford's damage schedule.

5. Coverage and Liability

  • Stratford includes basic third-party insurance with all rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Optional insurance products may be available to lower your out-of-pocket exposure. Please review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount shown in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Stratford's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges.

7. Stratford Prohibitions

You must not use the rented Stratford vehicle for:

  • Use of a Stratford vehicle for any illegal purpose or activity. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities in a Stratford vehicle. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials in any Stratford vehicle. Sub-letting a Stratford vehicle to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating a Stratford vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle is not intended...

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate Stratford termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Liability for Stratford

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Stratford will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount paid by you to Stratford for the services giving rise to the claim in the twelve months prior to the event.

9. Governing Law (Stratford)

These Terms for Stratford are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Stratford Terms

Stratford may amend these Terms at any time. Any revisions take effect immediately upon posting on the Stratford website. Your continued use of Stratford services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
